Welder (Location: Qatar)
Performs welder duties use electric, oxyacetylene, MIG, and TIG welding processes. Work involves planning, layout work, cutting material to size, positioning, and clamping work, preheating metal, and maintaining temperature to prevent distortion. Uses blueprints, sketches, and other guides; develops templates, jigs, and dies to repair, modify or fabricate metal items for all types of electronic and structural equipment. Uses equipment such as band saws, shears, brakes, and folders to cut and shape metal. Makes a wide range of welds from simple to precision welding; determines disassembly or repair necessary and material to be used. Works with light, heavy gauge and hardened metals, such as steel, aluminum, cast iron, brass, bronze, and magnesium; applies welds using flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. Work processes include pre-heating, brazing, bead welding, tack welding, flame cutting, pressure welding, and heat treating; selection of type of rod and/or size of tip to accomplish weld, determining heat necessary, setting up and adjusting equipment, maintaining proper speed, flame, motion, tip angle and position to produce desired results.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE
Requires skill and knowledge to set up and operate various types of welding equipment and hand and power sheet metal equipment. Applies manual welding techniques to cut out and remove damaged parts, straighten and strengthen structural parts, weld cuts and breaks, apply heat to bend and reshape damaged areas, and and perform a variety of tasks incidental to welding duties. Applies skill in making and using jigs, fixtures and other tools and equipment of the trade. Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, technical manuals, and work orders; applies knowledge of brazing, soldering, annealing, and metal spraying as required. Requires sufficient level of skill to pass welding performance tests in accordance with applicable military standards.
Will need to obtain a passport and have authorization to work in the United States. A security clearance is required to be obtained.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Location: Qatar)
Performs a full range of maintenance processes such as disassembly, repair, overhaul, modification, alignment, diagnosis, and testing in a bay or line operation. Equipment serviced includes a variety of either wheeled or tracked heavy mobile equipment, general purpose heavy duty transport trailers, trailer components to missile/electronic systems, and various other items of equipment assigned for repair in the organization.
Work performed is typically of the following;
a. Disassembles equipment by disconnecting and removing units such as engines, transmissions, final drives, and various other assemblies and components. Determines work methods to be used in disassembling equipment. As required, organizes items according to condition for transfer to appropriate storage or reclamation areas.
b. Reconditions equipment by replacing/overhauling parts, components, parts and major assemblies which entails the installation, hook up and connection of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and final adjustments. Makes modifications, repairs and adjustments to components and assemblies prior to and subsequent to installation onto vehicles. Performs diagnostic and test functions in determining equipment serviceability, in tracing and locating defects, and in determining cause of malfunctions.
c. Prepares vehicles for final inspection by performing a variety of diagnostic tune up, repair, replacement, and adjustment tasks on different types of vehicles. Uses precision test equipment such as vacuum gages voltmeters, ohmmeters, micrometers and related special tools; assembles heavy duty hydraulic systems; determines component serviceability; disassembles, inspects, repairs and assembles components and road tests, troubleshoots and presents a completed vehicle for inspection. Depending upon work load, parts and other pertinent factors may perform other duties associated with the vehicles rebuilt by assembly line processes or serving as a member of a crew performing rebuild operations on an assembly line basis.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE
Requires a thorough knowledge of the composition, operation, and working relationship for heavy duty major components and systems. Knowledge is used to troubleshoot, locate malfunctions, and repair/or determine the repairs necessary. Knowledge is required to select, comply and/or interpret technical manuals, specifications, and other technical data to make repairs and modifications according to specifications and procedures. Applies skill in measuring, fitting, and installing internal and external components, and aligning/adjusting items to assure effective operation of a complete system and/or vehicle. Knowledge is required in the use of a wide variety of mechanics hand, air, impact, and electric power tools.
